My love of storytelling began when I was a small child reading as many books as I could check out of the library at a time. I never went on one of our family’s road trips without a backpack stuffed with books. 

Since graduating from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism, I’ve had a dream career as a home design editor with Dotdash Meredith, writing and editing articles and facilitating photo shoots for magazines, such as Country Home, Better Homes & Gardens, and Modern Farmhouse Style. Since I’ve been freelance, I’ve also had the opportunity to help creators launch magazines, brand lifestyle content, pitch books, and publish newsletters and social media. I’ve even written a radio ad! Nothing gets me more excited than working with creative people on a stimulating project. 

When I’m not writing, I still read lots of books, drink (probably) too much coffee, travel with my family, and cook up a storm.
